Coworking Turns Three in the Hudson Valley!

The Hudson Valley region is on the leading edge of a global movement in the way people work. By Deskmag's estimates, there are more than 1300 dedicated coworking spaces worldwide, and 80% of members of coworking spaces report a positive impact on their business network, 92% on their social circle and 75% a positive impact on their productivity.

Laura Winston, who recently moved her intellectual property law practice to The Inc, would certainly agree. She tells us she is more productive in her new workspace, able to focus without distractions at the same time that she can enjoy The Inc's collaborative community. "Now everything I need," says Laura, "is in one place."

To commemorate the first anniversary of our shared workspace,
The Inc, and the third anniversary of coworking spaces in the Hudson Valley, The Purple Crayon is proud to partner with Beahive in Beacon and Albany, and W@tercooler in Tarrytown, for a shared workspace Open House anniversary party and speed consulting/networking extravaganza!

Thursday, June 7
1 - 5 PM: Free Workday (Space is limited!)
4 - 5 PM: Meet the Consultants!
5 - 7 PM: Happy Hour networking

This Dance Party Is All Grown Up!

Saturday night's teen dance was amazing. We sold out the night, and DJ Shiftee was an artist on the turntables, reading the crowd and playing just the thing to keep them moving on the dance floor. World Champion, y'all! We can barely wait until June 2nd, when it's our turn to be out on the dance floor. You grown-ups don't want to miss this!

PS. After Saturday's show, Shiftee was off to play shows in Tel Aviv and Asia, LA and San Francisco. He's back to The Purple Crayon for June 2nd, then off to Barcelona, Paris and Prague!
